My garden is my live.  If I can have it my way then I would spend every waking moment ‘getting dirty’ in my beloved garden.

On the odd days (rainy days) I turn to two other hobbies to pass time.  They are my music and my aquarium.

My Music:

I have a nice sound system composed of Yamaha speakers, a Rotel amplifier, a Wintal DVD player, an old Philips CD player, a newly added BursonAudio Buffer.  I also have a valve radio which has been with me for 40+ years.

I wouldn’t dare calling myself an audiophile but I do spend a lot of rainy days listening to music.  My favours are mostly classical;  Carmen Fantasie by James Levine, Ravel, Rapsodie Espagnole, Kopruler and Credo Helene Grimaud.

Some of my friends (George, Lenin, Martin and Andy) go crazy with audio equipment. They have valve amplifiers, tune tables and expensive cables.  But I like my system just the way it is.  Besides my ears can never pickup the improvement from a cable change they swear by.

Having said that I am very please with my recent purchase of a BursonAudio Buffer.  I bought one from Melbourne after trying Lenin’s.  Not much of a looker but the buffer drastically improved my system’s sound quality and reminds me of those Philips and Healing valve radios in the 40s and 50s.

“They don’t make it like them no more.” But this BursonAudio Buffer brings back some of those bitter sweet memories.

Aquarium (150cm * 55cm * 55cm):

I have builded this beautiful aquarium over 3 years.   Its inhabitants have increased over time.

The star of this mini world is Beckie the 4 years old male Brazilian leave tortoise.  Other inhabitants include 4 Electric Yellows, Rainbow Shark and a Purple one.

I also have one Murray River Tortoise and one Long Neck Tortoise in by Garden.  They sleep 6 month in a year.
